Overview

Online Fire Prevention Training

This awareness level training, part of the Stepback for Safety series, introduces workers to the building blocks of fire by using the fire tetrahedron, and describes preventive measures ranging from good housekeeping to electrical safety. Workers are also shown how to alert others and evacuate safely in case a fire does break out and how to select and use a portable fire extinguisher to put out a small fire before it spreads.

Four short modules help the worker focus on fire protection and prevention while learning to analyze each job situation for safety considerations. By learning to Take a Step Back for Safety each and every time they begin a job, workers can begin to take the steps necessary to identify risks and modify processes and behaviors that can lead to accidents.
