Ergonomics for the Mobile Worker

Mobile hand-held devices provide an opportunity to work and play almost anywhere. Despite the convenience of mobile devices, unless precaution is exercised the prolonged use of a smartphone, tablet or laptop can lead to injury.

This course provides a discussion of ergonomics including: posture, which is explained in terms of maintaining “neutral positions,” environment, which focuses on how work spaces can be configured to support neutral body positions and equipment use, which explains how we can interact with equipment and maintain a neutral position. Course completion produces employees who are well-versed in “out of office” and office ergonomics.

Learners who complete this training program are better prepared to care for their bodies in an office environment whether mobile or traditional.
