HAZWOPER: Work Practices and Engineering Controls

This online training video shows proper safety and handling techniques for workers who are in close contact with hazardous materials. The hazardous materials training video shows workers how to safeguard against accidents involving hazardous materials with a combination of “work practices” and “engineering controls.”

The video stresses the use of work practices, such as site safety and health plans, helps prevent accidents by tailoring “recommended procedures” and “emergency procedures” to a job’s duties and materials.

The program also shows how the combination of proper procedures and equally job-specific engineering controls, like ventilation systems, remote controlled systems and eye-wash stations, ensures workers are ready for any and all challenges posed by their work with specific hazardous materials.

This course has been updated to include GHS container labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for GHS compliance.
