Manual Pallet Jack Safety

When using any kind of heavy machinery, it is the operator’s responsibility to know the relevant hazards and safety procedures. The same is true for a manual pallet jack. Though smaller than a forklift, a pallet jack still presents safety hazards if misused.

This training course is designed to teach workers how to safely use a pallet jack in multiple situations. Ideally, the ground upon which a pallet jack is used should be clean and flat; however inclines, loading docks, and lift gates can all be possible scenarios for additional hazards. This course reviews when to pull or push a pallet jack in these types of situations.

After taking this training, workers will know how to safely use a pallet jack to keep themselves and co-workers free from incidents and injuries. They will be more cognizant of the conditions that make loads unstable and the pallet jack difficult to control.
