Overview

In the U.S. over 66,000 workers are injured from exposure to airborne hazards every year. This online refresher training course helps employees remember to follow OSHA regulations when using respiratory protection.

The online video explains why the body's natural defenses against airborne hazards may not be enough to protect us from serious respiratory damage. The training illustrates the different types of respiratory protection and how to use them. This includes disposable masks, cartridge respirators, supplied air respirators (SAR) and self -contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) systems. The online course discusses the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) classifications for particle respirators that protect workers from various amounts of oil aerosols.

The training reminds employees to follow safety procedures and use proper respiratory protection when needed. This online course helps employees protect themselves from airborne hazards and helps employers avoid OSHA violations.
