Overview

Sexual Harassment can have a devastating effect on the victims, employee morale and a company’s image. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission mandates all employers provide a harassment free workplace and most states have laws addressing this issue. As a result sexual harassment can create a legal quandary for the employer. The online video "Handling a Sexual Harassment Investigation" teaches employees to recognize the different forms of sexual harassment and to conduct and conclude sexual harassment investigations with sensitivity while upholding the employers’ ethical and legal responsibilities.

The course explains how to address a sexual harassment allegation and when to begin an investigation. This includes interview techniques for the victim and the alleged harasser, the importance of privacy and obtaining documentation such as written statements and performance reports. The online video demonstrates how to conclude an investigation by evaluating the facts and using disciplinary actions to remedy the situation and protect the victim from further harassment.

The video course teaches employees how to conduct an effective sexual harassment investigation. This training helps employers limit their legal liability, improve morale and create a better working environment.
