Overview

Each year, on-the-job accidents cause millions of employees to suffer painful and sometimes debilitating injuries. Most of these injuries would never occur if workers were more safety oriented. Safety, after all, should be the top priority and primary goal. Through this training lesson, employees learn about best safety practices, personal protective equipment, accident prevention, and preparing for an emergency.

Mental preparation is important prior to beginning any task, regardless of how inconsequential it may seem. After all, mistakes, and therefore injuries, are much more likely to occur when someone is distracted. While this course instructs employees on how to help prevent accidents, they will still occur. It is therefore imperative to be aware of the best personal protective equipment (PPE) to wear to reduce the chances of a serious injury, as well as how to respond to an accident when one occurs. This safety orientation training prepares employees to recognize common job-related hazards and know the safe practices and equipment they can use to avoid them.

Use this course to show employees they must make safety their first priority to reduce accidents and maintain a safe work environment for everyone.
