Overview
Working with loud machinery and equipment can cause hearing damage after prolonged use. Even sudden, loud bursts of sound can damage ones hearing. This online course teaches the importance of hearing conservation. It first demonstrates how hearing works, then explains how to recognize the causes of hearing loss and ways in which hearing loss is caused. The use of protective equipment such as ear plugs or ear muffs to conserve hearing is emphasized.
