Maritime: Towboat/Maritime HAZCOM

In this training for towboat, offshore supply boat, or tug boat crew members who frequently work with a variety of chemicals, you will learn the essential steps needed to find out about the chemical hazards you face, so you can prevent harm from coming to you or other workers.

Some of the chemicals used by boats are much like those you may use at home or in shore-based businesses. This course will also focus on more specialized products you will use, including degreasers, cutting oils, hydraulic oils, rust inhibitors and sewage treatments.

This program gives you the information needed to fulfill this important responsibility to access hazardous materials information in the workplace and take the necessary steps to protect yourself and your crewmates.
