Overview

Stress: Emotional Eating

You may be able to think of some of the adverse health impacts stress can cause, like insomnia, high blood pressure, and heart disease. One effect not as commonly thought of is craving food; this “emotional eating” may cause both weight gain and other more severe health concerns. Learn about the more specific causes of emotional eating, as well as what you can do to avoid falling victim to it. While this Video On Demand course does not teach you about dieting, it does teach you about the healthy life choices needed to ensure you avoid emotional eating.

Stress is everywhere, and you will be placed in highly stressful situations in the future. However, if you follow the seven ideas for changing behavior presented here, you can be protected against emotionally charged desires to eat. It does require commitment and dedication, but being healthier makes it worthwhile. Follow these methods and you can stop stress from causing you to become an emotional eater.
