Walking and Working Surfaces

According to OSHA, slips, trips and falls cause 15% of accidental deaths, second only to motor vehicle accidents as a cause of fatalities. General industry and construction employers must address slip, trip and fall hazards, and ensure employees use safe work practices to prevent hazards on walking and working surfaces.

Mastery has published two new courses, produced by Marcom Ltd., addressing the topic of “Walking and Working Surfaces.” These courses, one for general industry and one for the construction industry, feature HD video and cover topics such as, walkways and floors, stairs and fixed ladders, portable ladders, and scaffolding.

For more information, check out “Walking and Working Surfaces” or “Walking and Working Surfaces in Construction Environments.”

Get “To The Point” of Safety

Mastery recently published two more courses produced by To The Point Communications. “Hazard Communication Program: To The Point” demonstrates how to recognize hazardous chemicals, and understand the risks and safety information provided to employees on chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets.

Preventing Hearing Loss: To The Point” shows employees how to protect their hearing from high levels of harmful noise. The course details how the ear processes sound, and explains permissible exposure limits and noise reduction levels. Employees are shown how to correctly use ear plugs and ear muffs.

Both of these courses feature HD video and can be presented in English or Spanish. All of the To The Point Communications courses feature short, information-packed, videos demonstrating the safe work practices employees need to know, while helping employers meet OSHA training requirements.
