Confined Space Emergency: Confined Space Technical Rescue (Program 3)

This online training video “Confined Space Emergency: Confined Space Technical Rescue” teaches employers and workers how to form an OSHA compliant Confined Space Rescue Team. This includes assessing rescue situations, equipment training and safety measures. This is the third program in a three-part series on confined space emergencies.

The video training discusses how to prepare for a rescue, how to set up a command center and how to utilize a backup rescue team. The online training illustrates various types of confined spaces such as barges, boilers, trains and trenches, and the hazards unique to each. It is extremely important for workers to familiarize themselves with these hazards so they can use the appropriate protective equipment and safety measures when conducting a confined space rescue. These measures include testing air quality for viability, using non-sparking and explosion proof flashlights and using safety harnesses.

This online course helps employers and employees become knowledgeable about confined space emergency rescue procedures. This information helps employers become OSHA compliant and helps employees by creating a safer work place.
