Eliminating Driving Distractions: To The Point

Did you know one in four motor vehicle fatalities is a result of distracted driving? While most people envision distracted driving as a teenager using a cell phone behind the wheel, the problem is really a lot more complex than that. Distraction also involves factors such as complacency, fatigue and frustration. The training explores the issue of distracted driving, including what causes it and how to avoid it.

Although most people know it is important to focus on driving, many need to be reminded. The four major categories of driving distractions are visual, auditory, cognitive, and manual. This course demonstrates a number of examples for each category of distractions and explains multi-faceted distractions. There are ways to avoid driving distractions anyone can implement every time they get behind the wheel, and this course helps remind drivers of what these things are.

Use this course to help employees understand the role their physical and mental state plays in driving awareness and learn how to avoid becoming a complacent driver.
