Driving distractions can be dangerous and deadly. Multi-tasking makes a person unable to concentrate on the road around them and causes them to make poor decisions leading to accidents.

The main sections of this training course include: The Toll of Distracted Driving, It’s Just a Few Seconds, What’s a Distraction?, Consequences of Distracted Driving, Controlling Distractions, Bus Operator Procedures, and Taking Control. The sections give examples of ways drivers are distracted without realizing it, and ways to prevent distractions. This training is intended to help transit drivers become more conscious of why distractions can be dangerous on the job, and ways to control this.
