Thanksgiving in 2006 will be forever be a memorable date in history for Boston-area residents for years to come. The CAI ink plant massive explosion known as “The Thanksgiving Miracle” did not kill anyone, however it injured 10 residents, evacuated 300 residents and demolished 10 businesses. With safety guards and proper controls in place, the dangerous explosion caused by human error could have been prevented.
This course, with video produced by the Chemical Safety Board, helps viewers to gain a better understanding of the life altering Danver event, how incidents such as these can occur and the importance of abiding by and revising Federal, State and City fire codes, standards and regulations to reduce accident risks and hazards such as these.
