Overview

The Department of Transportation routinely performs roadside checks of commercial vehicles to ensure they meet the operating standards set by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance. Failure of inspection not only means your vehicle will be deemed “out of service” until fixed, it also means your driver, passengers and cargo were potentially at risk.

This video training course features an experienced mechanic who guides participants through the D.O.T. inspection process. The inspection examines 20 different areas of your commercial vehicle; each category contains multiple safety criteria. Due to the complexity of these inspections, an inspection, repair, and maintenance routine is strongly recommended and featured in this course.
