Overview

Working with hazardous materials or chemicals in a laboratory poses certain risks. These risks can be minimized by teaching employees working with hazardous substances to read the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) of a chemical before using it. The MSDS contain OSHA required data on the hazards of using a specific chemical.
