Overview

As a supervisor, the job itself can be the easy part; the hard part is managing people. The oilfield industry introduces the special challenge of living side-by-side with your coworkers for long stretches of time. This partner course is designed to provide oilfield supervisors with a best-practice approach to deal with common oilfield scenarios. The course provides concrete, dialog-based examples throughout the video clips.

Objectives of this course include: assessing an employee’s performance to identify behavior-based deficiencies; making fact-based judgments supported by documented instances of unacceptable behavior; generating agreement that the employee is ultimately responsible for both the problem and the solution; and explaining in direct, but positive, terms what the employee needs to do to improve and what consequences will be delivered if he or she fails to meet expectations.
