Cultural Awareness

Cultural awareness and sensitivity must be part of a workplace diversity and inclusion strategy, particularly for new hires. Diversity and cultural sensitivity are more important than ever in today’s global and dynamic markets. This course focuses primarily on increasing cultural awareness and improving sensitivity to these issues.

As more teams and organizations work remotely either exclusively or through a hybrid approach, it is a topic with increasing importance as people from different backgrounds are increasingly working together. The course defines culture and explains how a lack of understanding can persist. The course continues to explore how to promote cultural diversity in the workplace, how gestures vary, and how a code of conduct is critical as part of increasing awareness.

This module should be used among all your employees as part of a broader diversity and inclusion initiative and should be considered as part of your onboarding process for new hires.
