Electricity lights your offices, runs your computers, and powers the workplace machinery and equipment. It’s so much a part of everyday life that it’s easy to forget it can also be dangerous. Electricity contributes to an increasing number of workplace injuries and fatalities each year, most of which can be avoided through understanding and being aware of the dangers it imposes.

This course teaches employees the basics of electricity: circuits and the flow of electrical current; recognizing and avoiding electrical hazards; special electrical environments; dealing with electrical accidents. Presented clearly and concisely, this course ensures employees understand how electricity operates so they are better prepared to recognize its hazards and know what procedures and equipment they should use to avoid them.
