Ouch! That Stereotype Hurts

In our diverse society, responding appropriately to stereotypes is critical. Workers are more productive if they are in a safe environment free from discriminating statements and behaviors. This program works to teach participants about stereotypes and what can be done to eliminate them.

This program has three specific objectives. First, this video outlines the impact of stereotypes and biased statements. Second, learners understand how to identify the most common reasons why people sit silently instead of speaking up when confronted with bias and stereotypes. Third, the program aims to teach skills for speaking up without blame or guilt.
