Overview

As a leader, you are often required to manage groups of employees. Some groups may be small, while others may be large. You should be able to adapt your leadership style to maximize the potential of those around you. Of course, leaders must first be aware of the strengths and weaknesses of the group of employees they are trying to lead. These strengths and weaknesses often depend on the size of the group, which this training video explains.

For example, small groups (6 to 20 people) are more likely to display greater individual effort, have more efficient communication, and demonstrate closer leader/team member relationships. However, they are also more likely to need a greater amount of time to complete large projects. Large groups (more than 20 people) have collectively a greater diversity of thoughts and are able to more quickly complete large projects, but they also can be hindered by complex workflow systems and a longer decision-making process.
