Laboratory Safety: OSHA Laboratory Standard

This online training video on the OSHA Laboratory Standard provides an overview of how employees can be safe while working in the lab. The training explains the OHSA-required chemical hygiene plan for labs, which defines the procedures and equipment needed to protect all laboratory staff.

The video presentation includes an explanation of the health and physical hazards laboratory workers face daily, how to control exposures, basic first aid, and dealing with leaks and spills. Lab workers learn how to use personal protective equipment, laboratory hoods and glassware.
