Overview

Hazard Communication in Industrial Facilities

By reviewing safety concepts within the industrial workplace, this training is a strong introduction on the safety of each employee. This training video focuses on the safety of the employee, while introducing key concepts and informational guidelines about Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and the employer’s Hazard Communication Program. An SDS is a guide for using the chemicals found in the employee’s workplace. These data sheets follow the guidelines set by the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) to label the chemicals so that safety is easily understood. This video provides the viewer with detailed examples of data sheets and the GHS.

Chemicals are also discussed at length within this training program. Detailed information about chemicals such as toxins, corrosives, and irritants are shown. Flammable and combustible chemicals are also looked at, and the GHS is referenced so the viewer is provided with safety measures for all instances.

Use this online course as a way to gain a better understanding of how chemicals can be used safely in an industrial environment. Key points are checked at the end of this training with a short quiz.
