Behind Kind

In 2004, Daniel Lubetzky founded KIND Snacks on his own in a New York City garage. He cited his father’s experiences as a Holocaust survivor for his inspiration in creating an organization whose overarching mission is to bring more kindness to the world. The company has been wildly successful from its inception: it reached one million dollars in sales in its first year and now reaches approximately one billion dollars in yearly revenue. In this training video, Daniel discusses additional experiences with KIND as well as his views on what makes a successful business organization.

Daniel does not argue that every company should desire to have a societal impact, but he does assert businesses focused on social betterment have a stronger connection with their communities. People naturally respond to these companies and gravitate toward organizations that demonstrate empathy with their communities.

Even with a community buy-in, these companies (specifically, their leaders) cannot be successful without quality team members. This course highlights Lubetzky’s views on organizational vision, culture, leadership, and more. Through these insights, you can gain an understanding of what has made him a successful leader, as well as what is behind KIND as a successful company.
