Overview

Managing Workplace Conflicts, Healthcare Version

Understanding the foundation of conflict and learning your reaction to it enables each of us to overcome conflict in any setting, including health care environments. This online training video examines conflict from the five most common conflict stances. Each is explained in correlation to the others.

To arrive at a winning solution it is necessary to understand the mechanics of conflict. Conflicts or disputes result from the real or perceived threat to one of our concerns. Once it's understood how the conflict originated each person takes on one of five conflict positions, each hoping to end it. Learn the five positions; recognize your conflict position and how to adjust it so all those involved walk away feeling good.

After all, the know-how to effectively resolve conflict creates healthy workplace relationships. Healthy relationships promote harmony and group cohesion allowing more concerns to be addressed before a conflict results.
