Overview

Typically, professional security officers are first on the scenes of the facilities they protect. They must take control, call for assistance, and take proactive steps to prevent further mishap. This training video provides the viewer a detailed look at how security officers can successfully handle all larger emergencies, such as bomb threats, fires, and workplace violence.

This training program discusses the four basic components of emergency management: mitigation and prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery. Prevention activities are in place to stop hazards from happening. The viewer is shown ways to create an emergency plan to reduce impact and improve preparedness. Security professionals are also shown ways to interact with outside professionals during emergency response times. This training focuses on how interaction with all teams and professionals on site result in a faster recovery time for all involved.

This video encourages all security officers to practice safety by detailing preventive and recovery tips. This training is followed by a short quiz so the viewer is able to demonstrate their understanding.
