Walking and Working Surfaces: Comprehensive Training - Concise Version

That need naturally encompasses an employee’s walking and working surface. In fact, OSHA has a dedicated regulation, 29 CFR 1910, Subpart D, concerning walking and working surfaces and how to keep them safe. This video-based course helps you train employees on the nature of fall hazards, how to recognize them, and how to best minimize them.

Trips and slips are the most commons causes of falls in the workplace, and just one trip or slip can cause a worker serious injury. This course shows several examples of trip and slip hazards. Your employer may also be obligated to provide you with fall protection, including guardrails, safety nets, or personal fall protection systems, to protect you from falling from certain heights. This course covers the basics on how to properly use fall protection equipment, including personal fall arrest systems.

Even common and everyday objects like stairs and ladders may pose safety risks, and you may also be at risk of injury from falling objects as well.

Utilize the information presented in this walking and working surfaces training to reduce your risk for a fall-related injury. This course makes a great refresher training for veteran employees, or a quick overview for newer workers.
