Overview

Confined space accidents injure or kill workers every year. Many of these injuries could be prevented by following OSHA requirements and using basic safety procedures. This online course illustrates the dangers associated with confined spaces such as breathing harmful substances, engulfment, suffocation and explosions.

The video explains how air quality monitoring and communication equipment help reduce the risks involved in confined space entry. The online training demonstrates personal protective equipment (PPE) such as spark proof lighting, positive pressure supplied air breathing devices, and retrieval lines. The video discusses OSHA requirements for personnel working in confined spaces including the Entry Supervisor who assess risks and authorizes when work can begin or end.

This video teaches employees how to work safely in a confined space environment. This information helps employers reduce the risk of OSHA violations and create a safer work place for employees.

This course has been updated to include GHS container labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for GHS compliance.
