Overview

This training on GHS (Globally Harmonized System) addresses the importance for a globally standardized system for all communication information on hazardous chemicals, including how they are labeled, and how the safety procedures for each one is set up. This makes it much easier for workers to know what the protocol is when dealing with chemicals on the job site, despite the manufacturer of the chemical, or which country it came from.

The training covers the following sections: What is the GHS, OSHA and the GHS, Hazard Classification, Safety Data Sheets, Labeling (Text Elements), Labeling (Pictograms), Information and Training, and GHS Phase in Dates. There is information about how labeling is now standard through pictograms and text, and how this will make the language of dealing with chemicals standard.

Use this training video to introduce the workers at your job site to GHS.
