OSHA General Industry: Introduction to OSHA

In any workplace, safety is an important thing to strive for. This online training program focuses on how to make safety a priority in any workplace, and how to teach employees about the standards of safety set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) act.

Being strictly an introduction to OSHA, this training program features information relating to coverage, standards, and workers’ rights as dictated by the act. Coverage, being provided either directly by OSHA or through an OSHA-approved state program, is discussed. OSHA is responsible for writing and enforcing standards within the workplace, so this program investigates those set rules throughout the video. Additionally, workers always have a vital role to play in identifying and correcting problems in their own work environment, so workers’ rights are viewed and discussed as dictated by the OSHA standards.

This training video is the perfect introduction to OSHA safety standards. A short informational quiz follows this training video to ensure the viewer has understood all key concepts.
