A Manager’s Guide to Surviving the Slings & Arrows (Legal & Behavioral Challenges of Management)

This Surviving the Slings & Arrows training is targeted to help managers or those in a leadership role approach challenging aspects of their roles; including hiring, professionalism, job performance, and termination.

Managing fairly and productively can be challenging. This training shows the challenges of managing and properly using authority, and why it is important to take these situations seriously, while also being fair. The video shows scenarios where a manager is in a situation to hire, give equal opportunity and think out of the box. There is also an illustrated explanation for when and how someone needs to be terminated. Focus on the behavior and professionalism of the manager in each situation is described and re-enacted through the video.

Each section demonstrates how the manager has to approach an employee in an effective way. Managers explain the meaning of effective management at the conclusion of the video.
