Cyber Security Awareness Part 2: Social Engineering

Cyber security, the protection of internet-connected systems from cyber-attacks, is a primary concern of every organization. All employees must be aware of the best practices to avoid cyber-attacks, especially those employing social engineering.

As the first line of defense against hackers, employees are most susceptible. As this course shows, when educated and trained to become suspicious, employees are also a primary means of ensuring a cyber threat is unsuccessful.

This course, the second of five parts, focuses on the social engineering techniques used to exploit and manipulate employees into taking the action or giving the information a hacker needs from them. This video explains the critical aspects of phishing, spear-phishing and vishing, and shows employees how to recognize a phishing attempt and how to deflect it.
