Seeing Is Believing: Anti-Racism, Equity And Inclusion In A Diverse Workplace

We live in an interconnected world, full of people of difference races, ethnicities, economic status, religion, gender, sexual orientation, political beliefs, and abilities. The diversity in the world is mirrored in our workplaces. Instead of jumping to conclusions about people and their backgrounds, employees must see and appreciate the people they work with to create a more inclusive workplace.

This course can used as a component of a larger instructional effort to help participants build and strengthen their knowledge and understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). This course defines diversity, and examines unconscious bias, cultural competency and inclusion, racism and racial identity, various forms of racism, and discrimination of the LGBTQ community. The course highlights how to focus on civility, equity, and respect.
