Overview

Dealing with Hazardous Spills

Hazardous materials (HAZMATs) are all around us, and accidents can and do happen. Luckily, the worst-case scenarios can be prevented when employees understand how to respond correctly to a HAZMAT spill. This training covers how to identify hazardous spills, and gives those in a workplace surrounded by chemicals a basic understanding of the actions needed to take place in a HAZMAT situation.

This video training helps workers understand the different job roles in the Spill Response Team and how each person is involved to take care of these issues. The course demonstrates how to characterize a spill, clean up a spill, deal with special hazards, go through decontamination, and waste disposal.

It is important, regardless of the job a person may have, to know how to appropriately react during a hazardous chemical spill. Use this course to help all employees understand the process of spill response.
