Good Housekeeping: To The Point

Occupational hazards, injuries, and fires are common occurrences throughout the workplace, whether it be an office or industrial workplace, and can negatively impact morale, performance, and productivity. Good housekeeping practices at all levels of the organization pre-empt these hazards from surfacing and prevent them from causing property damage, injuries, and deaths.

From slips, trips, falls, and fires, workplace hazards are prompted by employees’ lack of awareness, recognition, and understanding of what they are, the risks they pose, and how to correct them. This course explains each of these factors and enables the learner to take the action necessary to maintain a well-organized work area, correct or mark hazardous situations and materials, and to properly maintain and store equipment and tools.
