Backs: Safe Lifting

Back injuries are the most common disabler in the workplace. Many of these injuries are caused by improper lifting. This online training course illustrates how to safely lift and move items.

Viewers are taught the importance of planning the lift, checking for hazards, and making sure there is a place to set the load down on. Emphasis is placed on using the leg muscles, and not the back, for lifting.
