DOT HazMat: Security Awareness

It is estimated 75% of implemented terrorist attacks are successful, and as many as 56% of targets are commercial or industrial facilities. With these threats on the rise, it is critical all employees are aware of security protocols and are vigilant about following them. This course demonstrates following security procedures, staying alert, and reporting observations and suspicions. By being alert, employees have the power to prevent a terror attack from being implemented.

This course helps to satisfy regulations found in Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) parts 100 through 185. Specifically, this course provides training in “Security Awareness,” described in 49 CFR Part 172, Subpart H. This course can be used with untrained workers as well as for recurrent training.
