Overview

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) created the Occupational Noise Exposure Standard with the goal of preserving a worker's ability to hear a human voice. This online training video provides instruction on how this goal can be achieved when workers are regularly exposed to potentially damaging levels of noise.

Hearing loss resulting from noise levels happens over time, making it hard to discern when the damage is occurring. With this in mind it is important to be educated on exactly what type of noise and levels contribute to hearing damage/loss. Once you know what causes hearing loss you can better protect yourself. This video training explores how the ear functions, the causes and effects of hearing damage/loss and how to preserve hearing which cannot be replaced.

Employees who complete this training have the ability to impact their own livelihood as well as that of co-workers by sharing the importance of hearing protection.
