Safe Use and Operation of Forklifts

While instrumental for moving products and material in warehousing, industry, and construction, forklifts can be very dangerous. This Safe Use and Operation of Forklifts course gives forklift operators the safety training needed to prevent worksite forklift accidents, property damage, and injuries.

Based on OSHA ’s forklift usage regulations, this course provides forklift operators with the OSHA-required general forklift operational training to prepare them for their practical training relating to the specific type of powered industrial truck used. Beginning with an overview of training requirements, this course addresses each component of OSHA’s required training: handling and stability characteristics, the pre-operational inspection, the operational inspection, lifting and placing palletized loads, pedestrian safety, other safety considerations, and loading dock and trailer safety.
